The group performs a wide variety of practical tasks such as:
vegetation clearance
footpath improvements
boardwalk construction
hedge laying
coppicing
heathland management
pond and stream work
wildflower planting
creation of wildlife habitats
stag beetle loggeries

We work mainly with the Parks & Countryside Service of Bracknell Forest Council, but also local parish councils, Bracknell Forest Natural History Society, Berks Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), local nature reserves, local schools, private landowners and other community organisations.

We are a member of the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV).

The group was formed in 1996.
